Our Staff

Pastor Burnetta Armour

“Pastor B” has served at FPC since 2020. She earned her Master of Divinity degree at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in  Kentucky and has a Level 2 certification in Older Adult Ministries from Columbia Theological Seminary in Georgia.

Burnetta states her strengths are preaching, teaching, and worship. She likes working collaboratively with staff, church lay leaders, and the congregation to advance the mission of the church. She and her husband, James, and their son, Collin, reside in Cleveland.

Music Director

First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland is seeking a talented and experienced individual who will lead and select music for the church choir, work with the pastor in selecting music for worship services, and lead the congregation in singing. We are looking for someone with education and experience in both conducting and performing sacred music. Accompanist James Geiger

James Geiger received a master’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Tennessee and is the Director of Bands at Banks County High School. He also is an adjunct professor at Piedmont University. James and his family reside in Mt. Airy.
