Service
We share God’s love by caring for those in need of financial and spiritual support. Opportunities for service are available throughout the year.
Each month we spotlight one of the ministries that are supported by the church. This month, we are focusing on the White County Food Pantry.
Reaching out to the world
The Presbyterian Women raise funds for mission projects through the sale of quilts, notecards, and other crafted items.
Special collections are taken in support of:
Joyful Ladies Sewing School in Kenya, which helps women to learn skills that will allow them to rise out of poverty
One Great Hour of Sharing, which supports Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), Presbyterian Hunger Programs (PHP), and Self-Development of People.
The Pentecost Offering, which supports at-risk children, youth, and young adults.
The Peace and Global Witness Offering, which supports peacemaking and reconciliation efforts throughout the world.
The Christmas Joy Offering, which supports church leaders – past, present, and future.
Caring for our neighbors
FPC works with the White County Family Connection program to mentor school-age children and donate Christmas gifts for needy families in the Cleveland area.
Our members make a monthly visit to a local nursing home to interact with the residents and sing favorite songs.
FPC is a member of the Presbyterian Youth Ministry, a partnership of six Presbyterian churches that provides service and fellowship opportunities for youth.
We also are part of the Caring and Sharing program, a group of churches in the area that provide financial assistance to the homeless.
We collect items on the first Sunday of each month for donation to the White County Food Pantry.
